Job Description
Campbell & Farrelly Dentistry is a private practice- 3 provider office; amazing location, patients, and team members! Supportive leadership team, flexible hours, productive scheduling. Our office is open Monday-Thursday 7a-4p. We are looking for a full-time provider, but for the right candidate will consider part-time.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in dental hygiene practices, patient education, and the use of dental software systems. You will work closely with dentists to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
Assess and document patient medical histories, including vital signs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records using Open Dental.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Instrument sterilization.
Assist in taking medical imaging as necessary for diagnostic purposes.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Skills
Valid dental hygiene license in North Carolina.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
Proficiency in HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Familiarity with medical records management and documentation.
Experience with Open Dental software is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of vital signs assessment and medical terminology.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively during procedures.
Competence in infection control measures within a clinical setting.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
