Job Summary
Orthodontic Practice-We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant Orthodontic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health practices, and support overall patient well-being. Your expertise will help ensure our patients enjoy healthy smiles while fostering a welcoming and professional environment. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Assist orthodontist on screenings for dental sleep apnea, professional teeth whitening, Botox and Fillers and other adjunctive procedures
Conduct patient assessments by evaluating oral health status, vital signs, and medical history
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during procedures such as restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other general dentistry treatments
Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar EMR platforms
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records
Collaborate with dental reception staff to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
Skills
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation
Experience using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for charting and record keeping
Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic for electronic health records management
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures
Ability to assess vital signs accurately and recognize signs of oral or systemic health issues
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work seamlessly with the dental team
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting or as a dental receptionist is highly desirable

Pay: $42.00 - $52.00 per hour
