Our modern, growing, state-of-the-art private dental practice in Gresham is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist for our team (Mondays & Wednesdays initially, changing to Mondays & Thursdays in September). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene, patient care, and clinical procedures, ensuring high-quality service in a fast-paced dental environment. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as XLDENT
Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment.
Review medical and dental histories, update records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with OREGON state certification.
Proven experience in dental hygiene, preferably within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings.
Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging procedures.
Strong understanding of patient care principles, including patient assessment and education.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
