Office Hours
4 days per week 8AM - 2 PM (No break)
1 Saturday per month (except during the summer)
Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and support overall patient well-being. Your skills in dental hygiene, patient assessment, and infection control will ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs.
Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality during all interactions.
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification.
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within general or pediatric dentistry environments.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft; familiarity with medical imaging equipment is a plus.
Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, medical records review, and documentation review accurately.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about dental health and treatment procedures.
