Registered Dental Hygienist

Southernmost Smiles, general dental practice in Key West, Florida, is looking for a full-time hygienist to join our team!

As a Dental Hygienist on our team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering excellent oral health care in a encouraging and innovative environment.

About Southernmost Smiles
We are an established one doctor, privately owned office, dental office equipped with state-of-the art Adec dental equipment. We are located in beautiful Key West, Florida.

We practice Guided Biofilm Therapy with the use of EMS Airflow Prophylaxis Master. We have a compact workday from 7am to 3pm Tuesday through Friday. This allows us more time in our day to enjoy everything Key West has to offer.

At Southernmost Smiles, we treat our patients like family. We take our time to get to know them and their needs. New patients are scheduled for 80 minutes and recalls are 70 minutes.

We take a co-diagnosis approach and our hygienists are encouraged to document with intraoral cameras and discuss their findings with the patients prior to their examination with the doctor.

Responsibilities:
Provide preventive dental care to patients, including cleanings, x-rays, and fluoride treatments
Scaling and root planing
Periodontal charting
Sealants
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
Working with dentist to develop and implement treatment plans
Charting and inputing treatment plans
Qualifications:
Licensed dental hygienist in the state of Florida
Experience with EMS Airflow system is a plus
Experience with Eaglesoft is a plus
Patient-centered with excellent communication skills
Schedule:
Tuesday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
