Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist for 2 Saturdays a month for 5 hours each day for a total of 10 hours per month...In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental care experience. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment plans
Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized
Support the front desk with patient scheduling, insurance processing, and administrative tasks as needed
Skills
Proficiency with Dental Practice Management Software such as Dentrix or similar systems
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and terminology to assist with various treatment types
Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
Experience in dental assisting, pediatrics, or general dentistry preferred
Strong customer service skills to create a positive patient experience
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
