Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking to rent one of our chairs to a Dental hygienist who can work together with our doctors to provide excellent oral health care to our patients. This role offers you the opportunity to have recall exams/NP exams done by one our doctors and have full access to all materials needed Including xrays. We will need to discuss compensation with the candidate but having some previous patients of your own is an asset.
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental team, and promote optimal oral health.
Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to maintain patients' oral health.
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans.
Assist in the application of sealants, fluoride treatments, and other preventive procedures.
Chart patient information accurately using dental management software.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure efficient patient flow.
Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure a clean, safe clinical environment.
Manage patient records and handle administrative tasks related to patient care.
Support pediatric patients and address their specific dental needs with patience and care.
Skills
Ability to work independantly as well as ina. Team setting is an asset
Experience in dental assisting, pediatrics, or general dentistry is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Excellent communication skills for educating patients about oral health practices.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential for delivering high-quality dental care while fostering positive patient experiences through professionalism, technical expertise, and compassionate service.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
