Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare! Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, diode laser, irrigation and perio charting.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Using saliva testing as an aid to determine current bacterial state.
Taking digital dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis. Use of an intra-oral camera
Assist with infection control, helping to sterilize instruments when possible. Cleaning rooms between patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records to include detailed procedure notes
Follow infection prevention protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Support general dentistry procedures and collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care quality
Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
Proven experience working in dental clinics or healthcare environments.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical/dental terminology
Familiarity with computers and chairside scanners
Expertise in infection control practices, including sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention standards
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately and efficiently
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work seamlessly within a team setting
