Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.

Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and evaluating oral health status.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.

Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.

Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Open Dental for, documenting treatment plans and medical information.

Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic technique and sterilization of dental equipment, to ensure a safe environment.

Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental radiography.

Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, demonstrating proficiency in dental care patient education and clinical procedures.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.

Familiarity with Open Dental for documentation review and management is a plus but not required.

Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration.

Commitment to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Ability to perform medical assessments including vital signs measurement and medical imaging procedures accurately.

Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention standards, including infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
