Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and educate patients on oral health practices. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment that values professionalism, teamwork, and continuous learning. We are currently looking to hire a part-time hygienist to work Thursdays & Fridays. There is also the opportunity to work additional shifts to cover vacations.
Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
Assist in patient education regarding treatment plans and post-procedure care
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations
Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control procedures and OSHA guidelines
Experience
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred
Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental management software is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology
Previous experience in dental assisting or related roles is beneficial but not required
