Responsibilities
Conduct detailed patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.
Perform professional dental cleanings using the latest techniques in dentistry to maximize efficiency and comfort.
Take dental x-rays with precision, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques, dietary advice, and preventive measures.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems - Dentrix while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Follow infection prevention management protocols to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection control and ensure patient safety.
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Familiarity with dental equipment, digital radiography (dental x-ray), and EMR/EHR management systems like Dentrix.
Demonstrated ability in patient care, client communication, and documentation review with attention to detail.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance management, infection control standards, and healthcare safety protocols.
