What you’ll do
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs, to ensure comprehensive care.
Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive treatments while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and patient record management.
Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a friendly atmosphere for young patients.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, enhancing the efficiency of the dental team.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary choices, and the importance of regular check-ups.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans that align with general dentistry practices.
Basic qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
Preferred qualifications
Experience with medical imaging techniques
Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding
Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques
Understanding of pediatric care principles
