Job Description
OVERVIEW:
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will utilize your expertise to promote optimal dental health, educate patients on proper hygiene practices, and support the overall success of our dental practice. DUTIES:
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including flossing, brushing, and dietary recommendations.
Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments or sealants, ensuring smooth workflow during dental treatments.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and health histories.
Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with the dentist and the team.
Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after treatments to ensure comfort and safety throughout their visit.
EXPERIENCE:
Experienced hygienists and new grads are welcome to apply.
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Understanding of dental codes, documentation review, and patient records management for accurate billing and compliance purposes.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
