Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing dental records to ensure safe and effective treatment planning.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Operate dental equipment such as medical imaging devices, intraoral cameras, and digital radiography systems while maintaining proper aseptic techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits, treatment notes, medical records, and billing information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, HIPAA regulations, and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment for staff and patients.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health.
Hands-on experience with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting and documentation review.
Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic environment.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient recordkeeping and documentation management.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on dental health topics while demonstrating excellent patient care and assessment skills.
