Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time/full-time experienced dental hygienist to join us. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and support overall practice efficiency. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, with a focus on adult care only. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all patients while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.

Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.

Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using appropriate aseptic techniques.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in Open Dental.

Ensure infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization and aseptic techniques.

Review medical records and documentation to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care in general dentistry settings.

Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.

Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Minimum one year experience is preferred.

Nitrous Oxide and Local Anesthesia Certificate is required.
