Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation review and updates in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures aligned with healthcare standards such as HIPAA compliance.
Support dental team members with chairside assisting and managing dental equipment efficiently.
Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting is preferred.
Proficiency with EHR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, demonstrating comfort working with children of all ages.
Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures, X-ray safety protocols, and medical imaging techniques.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds, providing excellent client communication and patient care.
Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
