Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, dental hygiene procedures, and excellent communication skills. Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using dental software such as Trackers
Ensure patient comfort throughout procedures and address any concerns or questions
Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure the dental operatory is clean and organized
Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized care plans for patients
Uphold all safety standards, including infection control procedures, to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients
Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of practice
Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred
Knowledge of dental software systems such as Trackers is highly desirable
Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or assisting in dental procedures is a plus
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
Bilingual abilities are considered an asset to better serve our community’s needs
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
