Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting all treatments, assessments, and patient interactions clearly and thoroughly.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control procedures aligned with healthcare standards like HIPAA compliance.
Monitor and manage dental equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety during procedures.
Support patient care by managing appointment scheduling, answering questions, and providing a welcoming environment for our patients
Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management of electronic health records (EHR).
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry practices.
Expertise in infection prevention management, including sterilization protocols, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards.
Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while ensuring patient safety through proper radiation safety measures.
Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Familiarity with medical imaging technology used in dentistry for diagnostic purposes.
Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, documentation review, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
