Job Description
Geelan Dental Care is seeking a thoughtful, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team one day per week. The available day is flexible: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.
We’re looking for a like-minded “hygiene nerd” who enjoys learning, values relationships, and wants to grow into their forever office.
About Our Practice
Our goal is to make every patient feel like they are the only person in the office.
Our hygiene program is robust and relationship-driven. Hygienists typically see just 6–7 patients per day, with 60–90-minute recare appointments tailored to each patient’s clinical needs. Our well-educated, long-term patients genuinely value their hygiene visits—and they’re a little obsessed with our EMS Airflow equipment and the team members who take the time to get to know them.
Our office is located in John’s Landing in South Portland—arguably the cutest neighborhood in the city, although we may be biased. We have a private parking lot and plenty of nearby walking paths for lunchtime strollers, along with local coffee shops, restaurants, and food trucks. Built out in 2022, our modern office is filled with natural light, thoughtful details, and so many happy plants.
Schedule
One day per week
Flexible day: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday
Patient hours: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Working hours: approximately 6:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
One-hour lunch
What We’re Looking For
A current Oregon dental hygiene license
A patient-centered and education-focused approach
Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
A genuine interest in periodontal health and continuing education
A kind, dependable, and respectful team member
Someone who values quality care over a rushed schedule
Experience with EMS Airflow is appreciated, but enthusiasm for learning is equally welcome
