Registered Dental Hygienist — Part-Time

Carrollton Dentistry is looking for a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice in Carrollton, Texas. We are seeking someone who is clinically thorough, reliable, and comfortable building long-term relationships with patients.

This is a part-time position for Wednesdays and Fridays. We prefer one hygienist who can work both days, but we are open to hiring separate hygienists for each day if the fit is strong.

Schedule and Appointment Flow
Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 hour shifts
Consistent weekly schedule
One-hour lunch break
Most hygiene appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes, with appointment lengths adjusted based on clinical needs.

We are currently hiring for these two hygiene days, with the goal of growing the hygiene program over time. Additional hygiene days may become available as the schedule develops, but they are not required for this position.

Compensation
$50–$60 per hour + bonus potential, depending on experience and fit
Opportunity for additional performance-based bonus compensation related to appropriate laser therapy education, case acceptance, and delivered laser services
About the Role
Our office is focused on thoughtful, long-term dental care. We are building a stronger hygiene and periodontal maintenance program and are looking for a hygienist who can help patients understand their oral health, stay consistent with preventive care, and feel comfortable during treatment.

The right candidate should be warm, communicative, clinically attentive, and comfortable educating patients.

Responsibilities
Provide hygiene care, periodontal maintenance, and preventive services
Take diagnostic radiographs as needed
Perform periodontal charting and support periodontal diagnosis
Educate patients on home care, gum health, and recommended follow-up
Communicate clearly with the dentist and team regarding clinical findings
Support a positive, professional patient experience
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Follow infection control and OSHA standards
Required Qualifications
5+ years of dental hygiene experience
Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license
Current BLS/CPR certification
Strong communication skills with patients and team members
Warm, professional, patient-centered manner
Reliable availability on Wednesdays and/or Fridays
Preferred Qualifications
Laser certification
Bilingual English/Spanish
Experience with Open Dental

Carrollton Dentistry is a private dental practice serving patients in Carrollton and the surrounding area. Our office provides general dentistry, extractions, implants, emergency care, restorative dentistry, and preventive care.

We are working to build a stronger hygiene and periodontal maintenance program and are looking for a hygienist who values quality care, clear communication, and patient trust.

We also offer laser therapy when clinically appropriate, and we are looking for a hygienist who is comfortable educating patients about periodontal health and recommended adjunctive services. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity for additional bonus compensation tied to appropriate laser therapy acceptance and completed treatment.
