Job Description

Overview
We are looking for a stable, hard-working, and friendly individual to join our team as a Part-Time Dental Hygienist. Multiple shifts may be available, and top pay is available for the right person. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Pay is commensurate with experience. Must be sharp, efficient, dependable, a team-player, and great with patients. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced equipment.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing techniques, and preventive care strategies.

Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.

Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting treatment plans, medical records, and patient notes accurately.

Maintain infection prevention protocols by adhering to sterilization standards and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.

Communicate effectively with patients about their dental care options while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.

Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, demonstrating proficiency in dental terminology and equipment use.

Strong knowledge of dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging, and radiographic safety standards.

Familiarity with dental software Dentrix for managing electronic health records (EHR) and documentation review.

Expertise in infection control practices, healthcare infection prevention, aseptic technique, and medical coding.

Ability to communicate clearly with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.

Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health assessments and medical terminology for accurate documentation.

Commitment to HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
