Job Description
Registered Dental Hygienist
Join our small private practice located in the Highlands, that is quickly growing and expanding! We are seeking an experienced, professional, and friendly Registered Dental Hygienist. Our practice is focused on providing patients with excellent service in a respectful and fun work environment. We strive to make every patient feel comfortable and confident that they're receiving the best care possible.
REQUIREMENTS
Dental Hygiene Certificate / Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
Active dental hygiene license issued by the state board.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Periodontal screenings and appropriate periodontal care
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays or dental impressions
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
JOB TYPE
Part-Time 23-29 hours a week, 3-4 days per week.
