Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Location: Etobicoke, ON

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, promoting oral health, and supporting the overall success of our team. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting with various clinical procedures. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Provide oral health education and personalized recommendations to patients for maintaining optimal dental hygiene.
Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures, including fillings, sealants, and other treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
Ensure the sterilization and proper handling of dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Manage patient scheduling, confirm appointments, and address patient inquiries professionally.
Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment tailored to their needs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations of the dental office.
Skills
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures is a plus.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
Experience in dental assisting or working within a busy dental office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices enhances patient comfort for young patients.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients of all ages.
Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry for accurate documentation and communication.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
