Job Description
Registered Dental Hygienist- for Fridays
We are seeking a part-time dental hygienist to join our growing practice. This position is for Monday, Thursday, and Friday, with room to grow as the practice expands and includes a one-hour lunch break. The ideal candidate must be friendly, reliable, energetic, and a team player with outstanding technical skills, a positive attitude, and excellent verbal communication skills. Compensation ranges from $60.00–$65.00 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
Take dental x-rays and other medical imaging and 3D scans as needed
Record and update patients' medical history, including vital signs and dental records
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Maintain a clean and sterile working environment by practicing infection control and aseptic techniques
Qualifications:
Valid Dental Hygiene license in New York State
Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Familiar with Dentrix, Dexis, and Primescan 3D scanner.
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique in a dental setting
Ability to maintain accurate and organized medical records
