```Overview```
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. If you are passionate about promoting dental hygiene and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you. We are offering a signing bonus.
```Responsibilities```
- Perform dental cleanings and oral exams on periodontally compromised patients
- comfortable and proficient in scaling and root planning and have treated periodontal patients with pocketing greater than 5 mm.
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia (a plus)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Follow infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Proficiency in Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Periovision or similar dental software systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Familiarity with dental coding and billing practices
- Ability to take vital signs and perform patient assessments
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation
