Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energized and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform thorough dental cleanings, educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication will help create a welcoming environment where our pediatric patients feel confident and cared for at every visit.

Duties
Perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent disease and maintain oral health.

Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques, dietary considerations, and preventive care strategies to foster lifelong healthy habits.

Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental x-rays (including digital radiography), applying fluoride treatments, and providing sealants.

Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems like Dentrix to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Maintain infection prevention protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilizing dental equipment, and managing infection control procedures in accordance with healthcare standards.

Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations of a pediatric dental office.

Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.

Proven experience working in a dental office environment, preferably with pediatric dentistry.

Proficiency in using Dentrix for documentation review and management of medical records.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.

Skilled in patient communication, client education, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and dental imaging procedures.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review, dental coding, and dental records management.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
