Registered Dental Hygienist – Periodontal Office
Durham, NC
Pay: $60–$65 per hour
Join Our Patient-Focused Periodontal Team!
Our privately owned, single-doctor, fee-for-service periodontal practice in Durham is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team.
We are looking for a dependable, honest, and compassionate hygienist who takes pride in providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is a team player who is independent, hardworking, eager to learn, and interested in growing with our practice.

Our recently renovated office offers a comfortable and welcoming environment with spacious treatment rooms, abundant natural sunlight, and a peaceful setting surrounded by trees in a prime Durham location.
We are equipped with:
CBCT imaging
Piezoelectric and ultrasonic scalers
Arestin® therapy
LANAP® certified periodontist
We are committed to providing advanced periodontal care while creating a positive workplace where our team feels valued and supported.
Schedule
Current Schedule:
Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Opportunity for 1–2 Thursdays per month
As our practice continues to grow, we anticipate expanding hygiene availability to Monday–Thursday. We are closed on Fridays to support a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities
Provide periodontal maintenance and hygiene care
Perform hygiene procedures, including occasional SRP and post-operative visits
Complete periodontal charting and assessments
Take digital radiographs as needed
Educate patients on periodontal health and home care
Maintain accurate clinical records
Collaborate with the periodontist and team to provide exceptional patient care
Qualifications
Current North Carolina Dental Hygienist License
Strong communication and patient care skills
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Ability to work independently
Willingness to learn and grow
Prior periodontal experience is preferred but not required. We welcome a motivated hygienist who is excited to learn and become an integral part of our practice.
