At Miles & Michael Dentistry, we are a family dental practice that aims to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all, without discrimination or judgement. Dr. Sandra Miles has provided outstanding dental care here in Wilmington for over 30 years, and our practice has grown since the addition of her daughter, Dr. Jaimee Michael. With that growth, we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our close-knit team!
The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients of all ages, thrives on patient education and preventive care, and aligns with our professional and personal principles. We like to uphold a fun and friendly work environment, value mutual support and understanding, and prioritize morality and honesty in all interactions.
Requirements:
Valid and active NC Dental Hygiene license
Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform thorough clinical and preventative care
Accurately collect and document patient information (digital charting and x-rays)
Devote time to patient education, explaining things in easy-to-understand terms
Focus on patient advocacy, especially for complex treatment plans and dental anxiety
Maintain proper sterilization practices and safety standards
Manage supply inventory
Schedule recall visits
Professional and Personal Skills:
Punctuality and reliability
Patient rapport
Attention to detail
Effective communication with a focus on empathy
Collaboration with the doctors, clinical team, and administrative staff

4-day, 32-hour work week, with alternating Mondays and Fridays off
