Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits.
Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments, taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), and managing medical records with precision.
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with dentists during examinations and procedures, providing support through four-handed dentistry practices for efficiency.
Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards.
Monitor and record vital signs before procedures to ensure patient safety during treatment sessions.
Support pediatric dentistry cases by creating a friendly environment for young patients and understanding specific pediatric dental needs.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working effectively with children in a clinical setting.
Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for seamless workflow during treatments.
Ability to perform patient care tasks such as taking radiographs, vital signs, and assisting with medical imaging procedures.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients about oral health and ensure their comfort throughout visits.
