Thorson Dentistry for Kids is looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and team-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing pediatric dental practice!

Position Details
Position: Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate ~$30-$50/ hour (Negotiable Based on Experience)
Locations:
Metairie, LA
Destrehan, LA
Must be willing to work between both office locations.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal screenings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
Obtain diagnostic digital radiographs while following all radiation safety protocols.
Review medical histories, assess oral health, and accurately document findings in patient records.
Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive dental care.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while creating a fun and positive experience for every child.
Collaborate closely with dentists, assistants, and front office team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
Maintain accurate electronic health records and treatment documentation.
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and infection control guidelines.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
QualificationsRequired
Current Louisiana Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License
Current CPR Certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude with a strong team-first mentality
Professional, dependable, and compassionate
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel between both office locations
Preferred
Pediatric dental experience (preferred but not required)
Experience with Open Dental software
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
