Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide exceptional preventive dental care while educating patients on maintaining lifelong oral health. As an integral member of our clinical team, you will perform comprehensive hygiene services, collaborate closely with our dentists, and help create a welcoming, patient-focused experience. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including scaling, root planing, polishing, periodontal charting, and preventive treatments.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, recording vital signs as needed, and evaluating oral health conditions.
Obtain high-quality digital dental radiographs while following all radiation safety and infection control guidelines.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, periodontal health, and preventive care to encourage long-term oral wellness.
Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Accurately document clinical findings, treatment notes, and patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and dental practice management software.
Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA regulations.
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.
Support a positive, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications & Skills
Current Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
Current local anesthesia certification (if required by state regulations).
CPR certification.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, periodontal therapy, oral anatomy, and infection control protocols.
Experience with digital radiography and dental practice management software.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy clinical schedule.
Ability to work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff.
