Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - For Wednesdays (Or Thursdays)

Our office is looking to add a part-time dental hygienist to our amazing team! Ideally, we are looking for someone for Wednesdays (patient hours from 8-5 with an hour lunch at noon), but would consider Thursdays for the right candidate.

While there are a lot of awesome perks we offer as an office, here are some of the highlights of what our office provides.

We are fully fee for service, and we try to always provide the patient with an excellent experience. That being said, our normal appointment times are 60 minutes for recall, 90 minutes for half mouth SRP, and 120 minutes for half mouth SRP with laser.

You will get 5 flexible PTO days that can be used during our regularly scheduled weeks off, or as needed.

We are very supportive of you continuing your education. We actively encourage you to expand your knowledge base through CE. For our full time staff, we pay for CE and have offered opportunities, like sending our hygienists to the Kois Center in Seattle, for advanced training.

We utilize laser treatment and are starting the process of offering GBT.

We pride ourselves on giving back to the community. Among the many things we do, we host a Free Dental Day for the community once a year and have provided over $250,000 worth of free care.

Elk Grove family Dental is an established, state-of-the-art, private, general dentistry practice, and is currently seeking a full-time dental hygienist to join our dynamic team.

Our team is busy and system-oriented. We prioritize the use of the latest technology in order to provide the highest quality patient care. Pay range: $52 to $60 per hour.

As our perfect match you:
Have the ability to maintain a current RDH license in Illinois
Have experience taking and recording dental histories and patient records and documenting areas of failure, both periodontally and restoratively, to facilitate the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations
Have a thorough understanding of how to remove hard and soft deposits from teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease.

Can readily instruct and educate patients in oral hygiene, provide preventative dental care, take and develop X-rays, and apply fluoride or sealants
Help maintain patient flow, keeping treatment rooms neat and organized
Are willing to abide by the practice’s protocols for patient care, room set up, and equipment sterilization
Are articulate, service-oriented, and have great eye/hand coordination in order to provide gentle and thorough hygiene care to our patients
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
Prioritize patient rapport and outstanding customer service
Show a strong respect for all of your coworkers, regardless of position
Your history likely shows:
Associate’s Degree from an ADA accredited dental hygienist school
Current state licensure
Certified in anesthesia and N2O sedation
Strong organizational and administrative skills – you see what needs to be done and do it
Ability to multi-task, take initiative and anticipate needs of others
Ability to project a positive, warm and professional image in person and on the phone
