Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with cutting-edge technology, including the iTero scanner, digital X-rays, and a CBCT scanner, ensuring we deliver the highest quality care to our patients. Are you a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist looking to join a renowned practice that values innovation, excellence, and patient care? Cosmetic Dental Associates, a leading provider of cosmetic and family dentistry in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a talented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our exceptional team.
**We're looking for Mondays only**
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas for signs of disease or decay
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining good oral health
- Occasionally Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as part of the diagnostic process
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Stay up-to-date with current dental practices and technologies, including medical coding
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical documentation, medical imaging, and medical coding
- Experience using dental software for patient management and record keeping
- Understanding of infection control systems and aseptic technique to maintain a safe clinical environment
- Strong anatomy knowledge to accurately assess patients' oral health conditions
- Ability to perform patient assessments, including evaluating oral health status and identifying potential issues
