Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare. Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, polishing, and applying fluoride treatments to promote oral health.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and dental examinations.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health habits.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR), documenting treatment details, medical information, and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure infection prevention measures are strictly followed by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols for all dental equipment and surfaces.
Manage dental equipment operation, troubleshooting issues promptly to ensure smooth clinic workflow.
Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and providers to coordinate care seamlessly.
Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in the state of practice.
Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and records management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required; a passion for working with children is a plus.
Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards.
Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely following radiation safety guidelines.
Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
Familiarity with EMR systems and electronic health records management is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
