Help Shape the Future of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy in Canada
Founded in 2020, Oral-Facial Advantage | Myofunctional Therapy continues to grow.
Following the opening of our new five-operatory specialty clinic in Ottawa, I am looking for an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join the team.
This is an opportunity to transition from traditional dental hygiene into a rewarding specialty career within an established clinic dedicated entirely to airway, breathing, oral function, sleep, and facial development.
You'll focus on becoming an outstanding Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist while I provide the mentorship, systems, administrative support, and clinical framework to support your success.
This isn't simply another job. It's an opportunity to build a career as a specialist within one of Canada's dedicated Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy clinics.
Why Join Oral-Facial Advantage?
Skip years of trial and error. Build your own practice within an established clinic with a collaborative team, an existing flow of new patient referrals, proven systems, marketing, and administrative support already in place.
You'll be joining a clinic that offers:
A dedicated Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy practice
A collaborative team of Registered Dental Hygienists turned Orofacial Myofunctional Therapists who share knowledge, discuss cases, and support one another's growth while working toward a common goal of exceptional patient care.
Extensive one-on-one mentorship and shadowing provided directly by Alicia Proper, OMT, RDH
Individualized training in assessment, treatment planning, patient communication, clinical reasoning, and the systems developed through years of dedicated Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy practice
A structured onboarding process designed to help you build confidence and develop your own patient base
Proven clinical systems, protocols, and treatment resources
Administrative support so you can focus on patient care
An existing referral network and growing reputation within the healthcare community
The opportunity to build long-term relationships with your own patients while growing your practice within an established framework
A new five-operatory specialty clinic
Compensation and Practice Growth
Generous revenue-sharing model, with established associates typically earning the equivalent of $65–$85 per hour with yearly increases.
Flexible part-time to full-time opportunities
Start with as little as one day per week while training and grow to a minimum commitment of three days per week as your schedule develops.
Choose your work hours as you would like. Example: you can do 4, 8 or 12 hours per day on the days you prefer.
Qualifications
Required:
Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing
Minimum 5–6 years of clinical dental hygiene experience. Associates work independently after onboarding, I am looking for clinicians with the confidence, communication skills, and clinical experience that come with several years of practice.
Already trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, or currently enrolled in an accredited Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy program with an expected completion date by September 2026
Excellent communication skills
A genuine passion for helping patients and continually improving your clinical skills
Who Will Thrive Here
This opportunity is ideal for someone who:
Wants to transition from traditional dental hygiene into a specialty career
Is kind, caring, and compassionate
Enjoys encouraging and motivating others
