Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Part-Time Maternity Leave Coverage — High Potential for Permanent Position
We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and reliable Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing practice on a part-time basis. This position is to cover a maternity leave, with a strong potential to transition into a permanent role as our practice continues to grow. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive, patient-focused team in a well-established and expanding practice that values quality care, teamwork, and professional growth.
Position Details
Position Type: Part-Time Maternity Leave Coverage
Potential: High likelihood of permanent employment
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Schedule (Patient Hours):
Monday: 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This is a part-time role (approximately 2–4 days per week depending on coverage needs). No evening shifts beyond Tuesday, and early Friday finish for a longer weekend.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including scaling, root planning, polishing, and preventive treatments
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care
Take and interpret dental radiographs
Maintain accurate patient records and charting
Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
Collaborate with dentists and team members to deliver high-quality care
Qualifications
Registered Dental Hygienist in Alberta
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) required.
Current CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Experience with Cleardent is considered an asset, but not necessary
