Job Overview
We are excited to welcome a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to our growing team at our established, patient-focused dental office in the heart of Port Moody! This position is 3–4 days a week, with the opportunity to add additional days in the future if desired. Our office is open Wednesday through Saturday.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting oral health.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning alongside the dentist.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix.
Obtain iTero digital scans to provide insight and knowledge for our patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring excellent customer service.
Skills
Proficiency in providing dental hygiene maintenance.
Knowledge of Invisalign is a plus.
Strong Customer Service skills to enhance patient interactions.
Experience working in a Dental Office setting is advantageous.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Licensed and in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of BC
