Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our family dental office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality dental hygiene services. The RDH will play a vital role in promoting oral health, performing patient assessments, and ensuring infection control standards are maintained according to HIPAA regulations and industry best practices.

Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, while utilizing aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

Take and record vital signs, medical imaging, and other diagnostic data to assist in patient assessment.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care tailored to pediatric and adult patients.

Understanding of Tracker dental software
Support the dental team with patient care activities, including medical coding, documentation review, and maintaining infection control standards.

Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.

Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to IPAC standards and infection control protocols.

Experience
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).

Proven experience working in dental hygiene
Familiarity with dental software such as Tracker
Experience with medical imaging, vital signs measurement, and patient assessment techniques.

Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and HIPAA compliance.

Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is preferred.

Strong understanding of medical records management, documentation review, medical coding, and EMR systems.
