Registered Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and current dental conditions.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to enhance their understanding of oral health.

Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR system Eaglesoft ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Review documentation for accuracy and update dental charts
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.

Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments.

Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft; familiarity with EMR systems is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.

Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.

Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members.
