Fintel Family Dentistry is a small, family-run dental office focused on providing excellent care to our patients from children to great grandparents. With eight full-time employees, our office is a family and we are looking to add another member! One of our hygienists is retiring so we are looking for a new hygienist starting immediately. If you are looking for work-life balance, our schedule is perfect for you as our office is only open Monday-Thursday!
Job Overview

Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including periodontal scaling and root planning and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure accurate treatment planning.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to foster lifelong healthy habits.
Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Monitor patient comfort during procedures by managing chairside assisting duties and providing reassurance as needed.
Record detailed notes on patient care, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Support general dentistry practices with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure precise documentation.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems for scheduling, charting, and documentation review.
Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety.
Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment with accuracy and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health care practices.
