Job Overview
Join our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! We are looking for an RDH to work 3 days a week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for a total of 23 hours per week.
This position is an Assisted Hygiene Position, with two patients an hour. Dental Assistants will set up, clean up, and take X-rays for you. There is the potential to earn up to $90 an hour.
This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting focused on excellence and compassion.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like OpenDental ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
Support infection prevention measures by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, and infection control guidelines in accordance with healthcare standards
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to coordinate patient care plans and ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures and local anesthesia
Proven experience in general dentistry environments
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Open Dental for documentation and records management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation
Skilled in patient care, client communication, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA compliance standards
Experience with imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and dental coding practices is highly desirable
Excellent organizational skills for documentation review, medical records management, and EMR/EHR system use
Commitment to healthcare infection prevention and control practices along with a thorough understanding of medical assessment protocols
