Job Description

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental practice. In this role, you will help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health through preventive care, patient education, and clinical support. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including scaling, polishing, and preventive treatments.

Review medical histories, record vital signs, and assess patients’ oral health conditions.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment recommendations.

Take and evaluate dental radiographs (X-rays) while following established safety and infection-control protocols.

Assist with chairside procedures and support efficient clinical workflows through four-handed dentistry techniques.

Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic dental record systems.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Follow infection-control standards, including sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and proper management of instruments and supplies.

Collaborate with dentists and team members to provide high-quality, comprehensive dental care.

Review clinical documentation for accuracy and support compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.

Qualifications
Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing.

Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting preferred.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, oral anatomy, periodontal care, and infection-control procedures.

Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.

Familiarity with dental documentation, record management, and coding practices is beneficial.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
