Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safe treatment plans
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques
Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times
Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
Experience in pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments, medical imaging equipment, and patient care tools
Ability to assess patient needs comprehensively through patient assessment techniques and documentation review
Familiarity with medical coding, medical terminology, and medical records management for accurate documentation
Knowledge of general dentistry procedures, infection prevention standards, and HIPAA compliance regulations
