Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and patient safety
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment
Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, ensuring a positive experience while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care tailored to children’s needs
Expertise in medical imaging techniques, including dental X-ray procedures and interpretation
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health
Familiarity with infection control standards, healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance management
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures in general dentistry settings
Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes related to dental services
Ability to assess patient needs accurately and deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced environment
