Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our 2nd generation private family practice. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. M-TH with 1 hour hygiene appointments and 1.5 hours for new patients. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:

- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth

- Conduct patient assessments and screenings, including taking vital signs

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral health instructions

- Take dental x-rays and develop and mount radiographs

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Eaglesoft

- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest quality of patient care
Skills:

- Proficient knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws

- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry

- Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs

- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols

- Comfortable working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics

- Competency in taking dental x-rays and interpreting radiographs

- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
Requirements:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program

- CPR certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $50.00 per hour
