Registered Dental Hygienist

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate for this position is patient-focused, detail-oriented, will provide exceptional patient care and is able to work well as part of a team. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, ensuring the highest standards of oral health care. Experience with Dentrix and Dexis are preferred but not required. The Dental Hygienist will collaborate closely with the entire team to provide patients with the highest dental care in a compassionate and informative manner.

Responsibilities / Duties
· Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tarter buildup or non-surgical periodontal scaling and root planning as needed and treatment planned
· Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
· Able to take medical imaging (such as intra oral photos and digital x-rays)
· Perform accurate and efficient periodontal assessments of all patients
· Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and treatment plans
· Maintain accurate documentation of patient records
· Familiarity with Dentrix is preferred but not required
· Support infection control protocols – compliant with OSHA
· Knowledge of HIPPA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
· Effective communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
· Able to multitask with ease
· Open to coaching and constructive criticism
Willingness to do tasks outside of the hygiene roll – open to cross training
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
