We are a recruiting company working with reputable private offices that are seeking full/ part-time, or flexible schedules to work. These are community-base practices.
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive oral health care services, promote patient education, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental hygiene practices, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patients' oral health and overall well-being while supporting the efficient operation of our dental practice.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Maintain accurate, detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and update medical coding as needed.
Monitor vital signs before procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Support infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing medical waste, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Educate patients about dental terminology and procedures to foster understanding and compliance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings.
Familiarity with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus for clinics serving children.
Strong understanding of anatomy, dental terminology, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dental diagnostics.
Ability to review medical records accurately and apply appropriate documentation review processes.
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills for patient education across diverse age groups including pediatrics.
Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
