Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will elevate patient care and promote optimal oral health. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains
Conduct thorough patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Take and develop medical images such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft
Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety
Support infection control standards by following strict sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment
Collaborate with team members in pediatric dentistry to provide specialized care tailored for children and adolescents
Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with dental terminology and medical coding standards
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting
Proven experience in dental office environments, including general dentistry
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices
Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
