Job Description
Fairbanks Dental Associates is seeking a friendly, skilled, and dependable Dental Hygienist who is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. We are a patient-focused dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional preventive and restorative care in a welcoming, compassionate environment.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and periodontal charting.
Provide routine prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and preventive periodontal therapy.
Take and interpret digital dental radiographs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, home care, and preventive treatment.
Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as appropriate.
Assist the dentist in diagnosing oral health conditions and developing treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using Open Dental software.
Follow all OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols.
Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Build positive relationships with patients while delivering outstanding customer service.
Qualifications
Current Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience with digital radiography and Open Dental practice management software preferred.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the dental team.
