Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software
Manage patient appointments efficiently and ensure a smooth workflow
Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Support the dental team with sterilization and infection control protocols
Assist with pediatric patients when necessary, creating a comfortable environment for children
Collaborate with orthodontic team members if applicable, supporting orthodontic treatments
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Experience with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is preferred
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is a plus
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred; strong customer service skills are essential
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry is advantageous
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a caring attitude toward patients
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
